Getting back on track
Duncan Pike was on track to head to grad school before he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2011. Following two and a half years of reevaluation, Duncan has just started a graduate program at the University of Toronto. This is his account of the road to higher learning.

Survivor raises more than $10K at first golf tournament!
Robin Mkangwana was diagnosed with colon cancer in November 2012. He was in the hospital for a couple of months while his medical team struggled to determine his diagnosis due to his age. By March, the 21 year old decided he was going to organize a golf tournament in Lanigan, Saskatchewan in support of Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC).

Exciting opportunity in Ottawa: Become a Localife Leader!
Localife is an initiative that involves young adult cancer survivors (YAs) and supporters coming together to enjoy fun activities and social time with their peers. It was developed by Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) to address the isolation that many YAs face after diagnosis. Localife has just held it’s first anniversary in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Ottawa, and we are currently recruiting one person to join the Ottawa team for year two!
