The Toy Factory gets a facelift
For the seventh year in a row, folks at St. John’s ad agency The Idea Factory are gearing up to host Toy Factory Live, the annual charity bash that raises money and toys just in time for Christmas. This year, YACC is one of the beneficiaries.

Annual memorial walk biggest to date!

A full Texas 4000 recap
Each year, students from the University of Texas embark on a 70-day, 4000 mile bike tour from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska called Texas 4000. The riders aim to spread hope, knowledge and charity along their routes in addition to raising $500,000 to support cancer charities across the United States and Canada, and this year, they chose YACC as one of the beneficiaries.

YACCer's network raises $1,600 the "easy" way
One survivor’s mom and her running friends raised $1,600 for YACC. Their philanthropy started a while back when they decided to focus their donated dollars on causes that “directly touched our lives” rather than just donate to the causes that popped up in their social circles.

Survivor gives back to YACC by doing what he does best
Travis Gobeil has been involved in many sides of YACC since he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2004, and now he’s doing his part to give back to Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) through a parody t-shirt Indiegogo campaign, Helper T-Sales – Shirts for a Cause.

Canada Post Community Foundation for Children grants $18k to YACC
Monique Dumesnil and Jerry Oliver from the Canada Post Community Foundation for Children came to the Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) office Friday afternoon to present a cheque for $18,100 as a part of this year’s program.

The 2nd annual Surge for Cancer raises $25,000!
The second annual SURGE for CANCER at MAX was a huge success! Eighty-five participants pushed their bodies to the limit at the three-hour fitness event and raised over $25,000 to help young adults deal with cancer in Canada!

Survivor raises more than $10K at first golf tournament!
Robin Mkangwana was diagnosed with colon cancer in November 2012. He was in the hospital for a couple of months while his medical team struggled to determine his diagnosis due to his age. By March, the 21 year old decided he was going to organize a golf tournament in Lanigan, Saskatchewan in support of Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC).

Mr. Lube grand opening raises $255 for YACC!
Chris Sparkes has supported Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) in many ways since its early days, from participating in the Climb on Signal Hill to Shaving for the Brave. So, of course he included the organization in the grand opening of Mr. Lube in St. John’s, NL from August 17-18, 2013!
