On Wednesday, May 4, Canadian Virtual Hospice is launching KidsGrieve2 Q&A which will be available to any adult across Canada who has a question about supporting a grieving child or youth.
KidsGrieve2 Q&A connects families, professionals, and volunteers with expert advice on supporting children and youth who are grieving a death or an expected death. In this public web forum, Andrea Warnick, a national children’s grief expert, answers your questions, such as:
- Should I bring my four-year-old to a loved one’s funeral?
- Should I use the word “cancer” when explaining my illness to my six-year-old?
- I’m a nurse at a community hospice; how can I prepare two young children to visit a relative who is no longer responsive?
Canadian Virtual Hospice will hold the first KidsGrieve2 Q&A forum with Andrea on Wednesday May 4 from 1-2pm EST. A computer with speakers and an Internet connection are all that you need in order to participate.
