On The Road Again

It’s early in the afternoon of the 6th and I am writing you all from 4 South A, that’s right I’m back at the Eaton Complex. In a different part of the hospital this time as my old stompin’ grounds, 4 North A, is filled with people just like me, no immune system.

Brief Update: I was in hospital yesterday for about three hours as I spiked a temp while I was in giving blood and getting platelets, I peaked at 38.3, which is just above the “acceptable” temp of 38. Anytime my temp hits 38 I have to report to emergency immediately, as that is usually a sign of infection. Anyway after a little while I was able to think my temp down to 37.8, I saw Dr. Adams and he said I could go home if I wanted but had to come right back should the numbers rise. So around 7:00-7:30 last night my temp hit 38.1 then 38.3, as I always give myself a few minutes to double check before committing myself to this environment. From there I hit emergency around 8 and was checked thoroughly by what seemed like everyone and admitted up stairs to my present room by 10:15-10:30, which was record time. It took me all of 5-10 minutes to get settled, you wouldn’t know but I have been in here for weeks.

So I am resting comfortably in my new room and will keep you updated on the upcoming events.

I’ll be in touch,

Geoff
