Before we start heading out for the holidays, we wanted to say thank you for being a part of YACC this year.
Our community is made up of young adults affected by cancer (some who were diagnosed very recently, and some who have recently reconnected), their caregivers and supporters, partners and donors, fundraisers, third party event organizers, volunteers, staff members, board members, healthcare providers and friends at other community organizations, researchers, and so many more. Every cancer, every stage, YACC has the backs of those who need us because you have ours. Thank you for being here.
Programs like YACC Chats, Localife, We Get It, Primetown, Survivor Conference, YACCtivists, Insight, Yakkity YACC, private Facebook groups, the ongoing work with the YAC Prime Study, and more helped young adults dealing with cancer feel supported, inspired, empowered, and informed this year.
This work wouldn’t have been possible without many generous and engaged donors and supporters, those who Shaved for the Brave or got “YACCtive” in some way, those who shared time and expertise or organized fundraising events and championed legacy funds, and who found new and creative ways to make sure young adults affected by cancer were able to access a place where they felt understood.
