Hi YACCer!
As many of you know, we're headed to Calgary this weekend for our biggest Survivor Conference ever. Most of our remaining spaces are available for folks who are local to the Calgary area, as they don't need to stay at the hotel to participate. For $100, you can join us for a weekend of amazing activities, education, and, most of all, connection. But if that fee is a barrier to us- there are ways for that to be waived. Basically- don't be a stranger! We really hope to have you with us.
But we know for some of you, a whole Thursday to Sunday with YACC just might not fit. So, you're invited to attend the following selected events (as few or as many as you would like) as a part of Localife Calgary programming. You are welcome to bring a supporter of a similar stage of life, but these activities are not open to children or your parents/guardians.
Friday, November 7th
8:00 to 11ish p.m. - Wild Wild West Fest!
Delta Hotels Calgary South | Nakiska Ballroom | Hosted by YACC HQ featuring Harry the Horse of The Calgary Stampede, The Calgary Stampede Showband, Line Dancing with Keepin' It Country
and a special performance by Mx Jendr (Mike Hooves)
A fun evening with performances, games, prizes, and of course, karaoke! Western attire is encouraged!

Boozhoo/hello YACCer!
Join us for an afternoon of creativity on Sunday, November 16th from 1:00–4:00pm at Transcona Library (1 Transcona Blvd, Winnipeg, MB.)
We’ll be guided by an Anishinaabe beadwork artist, who will walk us through creating our very own beaded poppy pins.
Whether you’re a seasoned beader or trying it for the very first time, everyone is welcome! If beading isn’t your thing that day, feel free to bring your own craft (knitting, sketching, embroidery etc) and come hang out.
All supplies will be provided, and we’ll have some light snacks and alcohol-free beverages.
This is a relaxed, come-as-you-are space where we can visit, create, and be in community together. We’d love to see you there!
