Special announcement: It’s “prime” time to make change!
Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC), in partnership with Dr. Sheila Garland and her team of researchers at Memorial University, JUST launched the YAC Prime Study! Not only does this study aim to be the largest of its kind to date, it will be the first to explore the physical, social, financial, and emotional challenges faced by young adults diagnosed with cancer and compare them to their non-cancer peers.

On May 26, 2017, Smallwood Academy in Gambo, NL hosted its fourth Shave for the Brave. Parents, teachers, and students gathered in the school gym to cheer on and support the 15 shavers who took to the stage.

Cookstown Central Public School rocks 2nd Shave!
On April 21, 2017 Cookstown Central Public School in Cookstown, Ontario held their second Shave for the Brave, and it was a powerful event.
Thirty Shavers went under the clippers or faced the scissors in support of young adults living with, through, and beyond cancer. Together the Shavers raised $6,779, which puts their two year total of over $18,500 raised and 49 heads shaved!
