YACC volunteer Kristina Roche shines!

We would like to send a huge YACC shout out to Kristina Roche for her recent award! Kristina has been a volunteer with YACC for several years and we have always known how amazing she is. Now the whole province has also recognized this! Kristina was recently named the Canadian Red Cross’s 2010 Young Humanitarian for Newfoundland and Labrador.
Kristina will be honoured on November 24 at the Canadian Red Cross Humanitarian Award gala dinner held at the Delta St. John’s.
The Canadian Red Cross Young Humanitarian Award is presented annually in each Atlantic province at gala dinners which have evolved into the premiere annual fundraising event for the Red Cross in the four provinces. Recipients are individuals who have demonstrated the spirit of humanity through volunteer work, advocacy, leadership and/or philanthropy here at home or around the world.
The Humanitarian Award was established in 1997 to document, officially recognize, and draw attention to humanitarian work by members of our community and inspire individuals to pursue humanitarian goals.
Congratulations Kristina! You make us very proud!
