YACC is hiring: Director of Development

Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) is seeking passionate and qualified candidates to fill the role of Director of Development. YACC is located in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador, however this position can be remote throughout Canada.

About YACC

YACC’s mission is to support young adults living with, through, and beyond cancer. To be the connection to peers, bridge out of isolation, and source of inspiration.

Every cancer, every stage, YACC’s got their back.

Position summary

You are a creative and ambitious individual who can ensure the smallest details transfers into the big picture with having a strong emphasis on teamwork. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, have a successful track record of leading and building teams that hit their goals, and the capability to create and execute a plan.

The ability to develop and build new relationships with major donors and partners who are changing the world will be your strong point, while growing the current ones you already have.

You have a place in your heart for the underdog, as you won’t find an underdog quite like the young adults living with, through, and beyond cancer whom we serve every day. Pushing forward against unbelievable odds, these young adults are still not on the radar of Canada’s cancer system or research community, yet they have been at the top of our priority list for over 20 years.

We are looking to take things to the next level for the 22 young adults diagnosed with cancer each day in Canada, and you may be the missing piece of our team. We’re seeking a professional who understands communication is as much about listening as it is talking, who displays exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
