I applied to YACC’s job posting at a time when I should not have been looking for a job. I happened across the ad and applied on a whim. At the time I was very happy in a new job I had just started in Toronto but the position available at YACC just sounded like everything I had ever dreamed of.
About six weeks later I decided it was time to move home. I received a call for an interview not five minutes after making my decision. Eleven days later I had quit my job, packed up three years of my life, and was fully moved home to greatest place on earth, ready to start my life.
People often say everything happens for a reason. I am not sure I always believed that but I definitely do now! I could not be happier about the way things panned out over the past month and a half.
From organizing activities in my personal life to organizing prom to organizing corporate team-building events in downtown Toronto, event planning has always been a passion of mine. I am excited to have the opportunity to combine my passion and knowledge of events with an amazing cause. Not to mention I get to work in a office full of amazing people!
