I am a mom, wife, and AML thriver who is passionate about inclusivity, hiking, and puns.
Sarah (she/her) is witty, sincere, and resilient. She is a young adult cancer thriver having been diagnosed in 2019 with an aggressive form of acute myeloid leukemia at age 29. She underwent chemotherapy and a successful Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) that same year.
Sarah discovered YACC shortly after her diagnosis and attended the 2020 Retreat Yourself Ontario and has participated in Survivor Conferences, Localife events, YACC Chats and We Get It.
Connecting with other young adult cancer survivors has been an extremely rewarding and meaningful experience for her and has instilled a passionate drive to help support others in profound times of need.
