Nicole Furey is calm, loyal and determined. She is a young adult cancer survivor.
Nicole (she/her) was diagnosed with a clival chordoma in 2010 at the age of 19. She underwent surgeries and radiation and was NED until a recurrence in 2018 at the age of 29. Nicole was treated with immunotherapy and has been NED since early 2021.
Nicole connected with YACC in 2011 when she attended Retreat Yourself East in Newfoundland. Since then, Nicole has been involved in and participated in most YACC events. Nicole’s love of the power of storytelling is what keeps her coming back to YACC.
