Hello friends! My name is Miranda and I am honoured to be one of your Localife Vancouver leaders.
I moved to Whistler from Wales in 2015 and have been working in the hospitality sector since I landed. “The Big C” came into my life in 2019 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 29 years old. I chose to stay in Canada for treatment as I felt I had set up a pretty sweet life here, and I’m glad I did. Not only did I receive top-notch treatment, I was also lucky to find YACC and attend Retreat Yourself 2020 in Ontario — my only trip to the east to date!
In my spare time, I like to read, play video games, and be outside in the mountains. I am stoked to be a part of YACC and to be able to give back to the community! Can’t wait to meet you!
