I identify as a bisexual married woman, white, with a disabilities, Canadian, and advocate.
Ashley (she/her) is caring, sarcastic, and a night owl.
She is a young adult cancer survivor who was diagnosed with brain cancer in June 2017. She has been involved with YACC since 2018 when she attended Survivor Conference and has attended every Survivor Conference and Big Cancer Hook-up since. She has never participated in Retreat Yourself.
She said, “Quite frankly, I am joining the YACCtivist team to draw attention to disability issues in young adult cancer survivors (caused/not caused) by cancer. I look forward to blogging about advocacy when you are tired, dealing with poverty and cancer, and any other issues I have knowledge of that gets brought to my attention.”
