Southwest Arm Academy hosted their third Shave for the Brave on Friday, May 20, 2016. Students, teachers, family, friends, and community members all gathered at the school for the event, including M.H.A. Colin Holloway and a representative from Kixx Country Radio.
Six-year-old Sydney Sparkes was one of the nine Shavers, and raised over $6,000! Principal Leon Porter decided to answer the call of the pride and shaved his head for $300 which was raised by students and attendees on the fly at the event!
All together, the school raised over $7,000! High five to all the students who participated, and all the family members and friends who supported the Shavers.
Big thanks to the volunteer stylist and former Southwest Arm Academy graduate Kelsey Smith. The Southwest Arm Academy Shave will be one we won’t soon forget!
