We are shocked and saddened by the loss of Rob Crosbie, and we are sending our love to the Crosbie family and the Crosbie team as we collectively work through Rob’s passing.
Rob was a Shaver along with his big brother Alex, a Shave for the Brave Ambassador, and major supporter of YACC. We are grateful for all of his gifts.
The first time I met Rob at Crosbie HQ in St. John’s — after he committed to shaving — I had planned to share YACC’s mission and ensure he knew how deeply his haircut would impact the YACCers we serve every day. We had a great chat, Rob asked questions and shared some of his experiences engaging with many charities as a volunteer. He wanted us all to be better.
The year after his Shave, Rob promoted Shave for the Brave as an Ambassador and was a part of our official campaign. He was up for anything, including releasing his inner lion in our promo materials for that year’s event. There was play behind his reserved, wise presence, and he let it out for the Shave.
Rob’s contributions are massive, yet they are surpassed by his humility. His legacy extends through his family businesses, to the people he mentored and lives he touched, to the organizations and individuals who received his philanthropy. He had our back, and for that we are so grateful.
