We are so exited to announce two brand new Localife groups to help bring more fun, social connections to more of the YACC community!
There’s a new Localife city!
Localife Saskatoon is our ninth official Localife group, thanks to the dedication and engagement of some incredible SK-based YACCers like leader Stephanie!
Stephanie’s bio:
“I was diagnosed with lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma in 2023. I was treated with chemo and immunotherapy. I am currently on watch and wait.
“I have been a YACC member since 2024. I signed up for the Survivor Conference in Toronto in 2024, and I have participated in almost all of the programs that YACC has to offer. I became a Localife leader because I want to continue on my friend’s legacy and make her dream come true of having a Localife in Saskatoon.”
The first Localife Saskatoon event will be a paint night on February 8.
You’re all invited to Localife Virtual!
We’re also rolling out Localife Virtual later this year, a way for you to mix and mingle outside of and in between Localife cities! This group will be hosted by a mix of leaders from across the YACC community.

Localife is for young adults who were diagnosed with cancer before the age of 40 and are currently between 18-39. You are also permitted to bring a supporter — like a friend, sibling, or partner — who is also between 18-39 where space permits.
