Tanya and Chris Michel are holding the Life is Different Gala in Red Deer, AB on September 10. The semi-formal event will feature a silent auction and a performance of Cancer Can’t Dance Like This, Daniel Stolfi’s hilarious one-man show.
The Gala is a fundraiser for Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC). Tanya, an Invasive Cervical Carcinoma survivor, and her husband, Chris, have been tremendous supporters of YACC ever since Retreat Yourself 2009 when the organization left a bigger impact on her life than she expected.
unable to attend the gala, but still want to help?
Since it’s a wine and cheese event, they have wine glass charms as a parting gift. The tag on these charms says, “Thank you for supporting me” and lists the first name, age, location, and type of cancer of a survivor.
Money raised goes to YACC to help us offer cost-free programs for the young adults dealing with cancer in Canada.
If you are willing to share your info to help demonstrate all the different scenarios we face, please send the following information to [email protected] and we’ll get it to Tanya.
Thank you for helping the Michels leave a lasting impression. The more people know about young adults with cancer, the more they’ll be willing to help.
