Tomorrow, 22 adolescents and young adults (AYA) will be diagnosed with cancer in Canada.
For 25 years, Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) has empowered young adults as they face one of the most isolating and unexpected challenges of their lives—a cancer diagnosis.
What started as a vision to ensure no young adult in Canada would face cancer alone has grown into a national lifeline, connecting, supporting, and uplifting over 6,400 YACCers through retreats, digital programs, mental health resources, and an irreplaceable community of shared understanding.
“Some people say cancer made them a better person. Cancer didn’t make me a better person — it made me worse. YACC made me better.”
– Colin Anderson, YACC alum
These reflections offer a glimpse into the connection and healing your support makes possible.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been celebrating our 25th birthday and have felt the love and support of our incredible community. If you haven’t had a chance to join in, there’s still time to be part of the movement helping us support the next generation of young adults facing cancer.
There are still too many who face this journey alone. But with your help, we can reach them.
A gift of $25, $50, or whatever you can give will help us expand our programs, strengthen our reach, and make sure no young adult in Canada goes through cancer unsupported.
💛 Donate today and help shape the next 25 years of connection and care.
Always…
Live life. Love life.
