As we reflect on the past year, we’re grateful for what has been an exciting and dynamic journey for YACC. It’s been a year of growth, learning, and renewed perspective—on our achievements, our ongoing work, and where we’re headed next.
At the heart of everything we do remains our commitment to young adults living with, through, and beyond cancer, meeting them where they are and finding meaningful ways to connect, support, and empower them.
Throughout 2025, we continued to evolve our programming—expanding virtual offerings like YACC Chats, Writing It Out, and Support Groups, while also strengthening long-standing programs such as Localife. We brought our community together through research, retreats, and connection, including two Retreat Yourself Adventure programs and our largest Survivor Conference ever, welcoming more than 133 young adults in Calgary. We also continued important work through the Recover Study, helping us better understand and advocate for quality of life among young adults affected by cancer.
This year was also marked by incredible generosity. Our Shave for the Brave initiative brought together schools, workplaces, teams, and individuals across the country, highlighted by unforgettable events like the Avalon Mall Shave, Energy Shave, and Calgary Stampede Shave. We were especially inspired by the creativity and commitment of third-party fundraisers, whose independent events and efforts raised significant support for YACC and helped expand our reach in ways we couldn’t have achieved alone. Their generosity and dedication truly amplify the impact of our mission.
None of this would be possible without your dedication, belief, and support. Together, you’ve helped set the stage for an even bigger 2026—and ensured YACC can continue to be here today, tomorrow, and for many years to come.
With our deepest thanks and warmest holiday wishes,
Always…
Live life. Love life.
