Since the beginning of our organization eleven years ago, TD and a volunteer committee has helped us celebrate our annual milestone with a fundraising golf tournament.
Since June 15, 2011 was an exceptionally rainy day of a wet month, our golf tournament was essentially golf-less (registered teams recieved vouchers to play a round at their leisure), but the banquet went ahead that evening as scheduled.
We were thrilled with the turnout that night, especially since people had to go out of their way to come since they weren’t already there golfing for the day. About 80 people showed up for the dinner and live and silent auctions. Overall, about $22,000 was raised!
Thank you to all the teams, donors, Glendenning Golf, and especially, our volunteer organizers who made it all happen. We truly enjoy the golf tournament each year, and not playing golf that day didn’t change that.
We hope to see you on the course next year!
