Join us at PowerPlay (100 Anderson Road SE) for an afternoon of Snap Shot (a 3D immersive art experience!), arcade games, pizza, and “non-stop” pop! Come celebrate with us!

Come connect with other folks diagnosed with cancer before the age of 40 (and their supporters) for an afternoon of bowling & pizza! Join us for an afternoon of fun and connection, hosted by Young Adult Cancer Canada and the SW Ontario Young Adult Cancer Club!

WHAT’S HAPPENING: Meet us at Kingpin Bowling at 3:15 pm for an afternoon of fun and connection. At 3:30 pm, the bowling lanes will be open for business for you to knock down some pins with new friends and old. We’ll also be serving pizza and appetizers.
WHO: While many people will be impacted by cancer, this event is specifically for young adults diagnosed with cancer. For YACC, that means you are between 18 and 39(ish) years old, and diagnosed before the age of 40. Our friends of the SW Ontario Young Adult Cancer Club have more flexibility for folks diagnosed in their early 40s to join in. In the spirit of collaboration, we’re team the more the merrier for this event!
You are welcome to bring a supporter in a similar age and stage of life (friends, siblings, partners, etc.) as well as children. Each person does need to be registered for separately for us to plan appropriately.

All Aboard the SurvivorShip! – Join us on The Ship, a full-size pirate ship replica in the West Edmonton Mall, for a fun afternoon of pizza and board games! Hang out, enjoy some grub, and connect with your peers. The Ship is located in the Phase III section of the Mall, near Marine Life and Birds of Paradise.

Joins‑toi à nous pour un après‑midi de plaisir et de connexion, organisé par le Centre de bien‑être de l’Ouest‑de‑l’Île pour personnes atteintes de cancer et Young Adult Cancer Canada.
Qu’est‑ce qui se passe?
Rendez‑vous au Quiz Room à 13 h 45 pour un après‑midi rempli de plaisir et de rencontres. À 14 h, on commencera un jeu‑questionnaire interactif, puis on se retrouvera dans un lounge pour jaser, faire du karaoké et profiter d’une boisson sans alcool gratuite (mocktails, jus, soda).
C’est pour qui?
Même si le cancer touche beaucoup de gens, cet événement s’adresse spécifiquement aux jeunes adultes ayant reçu un diagnostic de cancer. Pour nous, ça veut dire que tu as entre 18 et 39 ans (environ) et que ton diagnostic est arrivé avant 40 ans.
Tu peux venir avec une personne de soutien du même âge ou dans une situation de vie semblable (ami·e, frère, sœur, partenaire, etc.), ainsi qu’avec tes enfants. Le site du Quiz Room mentionne toutefois que l’activité convient mieux aux enfants de 8 ans et plus.
Il y a un maximum de 20 billets — réserve ta place dès que possible!

What’s Happening?
Meet us at Quiz Room at 1:45 pm for an afternoon of fun and connection. At 2 pm, we’ll play a fun quiz game together- and after that we’ll mingle in a lounge to enjoy karaoke and a free nonalcoholic beverage (mocktails, juices, soda).
Who is it for?
While many people will be impacted by cancer, this event is specifically for young adults diagnosed with cancer. For us, that means you are between 18 and 39(ish) years old, and diagnosed before the age of 40.
You are welcome to bring a supporter in a similar age and stage of life (friends, siblings, partners, etc.) as well as children. The Quiz Room website does advise that this activity is best for kids ages 8 and up.

Ottawa, ON
Alpaca and Goat Farm Tour – Come have a visit with some friendly alpacas and other farm animals at Maple Hill Urban Farm in Ottawa! All participants will have a chance to choose either an alpaca or a goat to handle and guide on our tour. While supervising participants with animals, there will also be some interactions and feeding. We will be introduced to the other barn animals such as the ponies, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, etc. All levels of comfort will be customized and adapted, and important safety instructions will be given. After the tour we can hang out in the picnic area together in recognition of National Cancer Survivor’s Day!
