It is with mixed emotions that I write this blog. On one hand I am sad to see Annemarie leave her position as Localife leader in Edmonton, however, on the other hand, I am so excited to see her jump into her new world and succeed!
Annemarie joined the Localife team this past spring, but things in her life have changed lately and she is no longer able to fulfill the duties of being a Localife leader.
Here’s what Annemarie had to say about her time with Localife:
“Sometimes in order to help others we must help ourselves. My journey of healing is not complete. I’m sorry I was unable to be part of Localife Edmonton at this time. I am hoping over the next year, as I travel across Canada and experience different communities and cultures, I will begin to appreciate where I’ve come from and find peace within myself. Thank you for the opportunity!”
Annemarie, we wish you all of the luck in the world. I know you will succeed in everything you do and I am so excited to see where you end up. You are a sensitive, caring soul with a lot of drive and initiative. With a combo like that, how could you go wrong?
We are so happy that you were a part of the Localife legacy, and we know we will continue to work together in the future on many different initiatives. From all of us at YACC and Localife Edmonton, we wish you the best of luck!
For those wondering about Annemarie’s replacement, you won’t have to wonder for long! We are in the process of filling the position and we will be announcing the new Localife Leader in Edmonton within the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
