Yes we are in the middle of another anniversary period with respect to the dates and emails that is. One year ago yesterday, which was Easter Sunday last year, I left for Toronto with an incredible send off as about 60 friends and family gathered at the airport to see me off. I must admit it was a little disappointing today when I woke and left the house without a single person outside waiting to see me off for the day. haha.
This day last year I started what I call, out-patient pre-transplant chemo. I got my chemo from a little bag inside an ambulatory pump that I kept inside a hipsack. It was much preferable to being in hospital, which would have been the case were I home as we don’t normally administer chemo to out-patients. It was a good week as it allowed me to get adapted to my new environment and continue to my mental preparation for Transplant.
As for celebrating this anniversary as well as all the other anniversaries that will arise over the next week or so, I hope to see you all at my Dad’s house in just over a week. I have heard from several of you, and am really looking forward to seeing you, as for many it’s been a while. As for those of you who haven’t written, check your schedule and let me know, as even a couple of minutes would be great.
Hope things are going well with you all, they are continuing to progress nicely for me. The nitty gritty details of RealTime Cancer are coming together and I will share them with you shortly, as well this morning I planned a trip to Toronto and Vancouver in late April early May, that will hopefully prove very beneficial in my book writing. I am really excited about the trip and am actually having a difficult time realizing that it is only 3 weeks away. But more to the point can anyone believe that it was almost one year ago when I received 1.2 litres of my Dad’s marrow?
