Your Giving Tuesday gift powers connection and healing

Today we are going to ask you to GIVE on Giving Tuesday. Why?

When you give TODAY, you fuel the programs that helped Jessica, who’s story is told below—and all the other young adults in YOUR life that have heard or dreadfully may hear “You. Have. Cancer.”

Your donation HERE will ensure we can continue vital programming such as:

Give today to help the next Jessica and so many others.

At 31, Jessica Mees of Miramichi, NB, heard the word no one expects so young: cancer.

“Originally, I was really scared to go to YACC Chats so I just cancelled at the last second. But then they let me join with my camera off and I realized, ‘oh, there are so many people like me.’”

Jessica grew up in a private family where talking about struggles wasn’t encouraged. At YACC, she found something radically different:

“I found community that taught me it’s ok to talk about what you’re going through,” she said. “Now I’ve found a community that just accepts me for who I am.”

In 2024, Jessica joined Retreat Yourself Adventure expecting to get back to hiking. She left with much more—tools to process hard feelings, a tight circle of friends, and a “giant network” through Survivor Conference 2025 who truly get cancer and everything that follows.

“With my YACC friends, I don’t have to fake it.”

She’s honest about what made that possible:

“If YACC wasn’t invented, I don’t think I would be mentally healthy right now. I would be isolating…I wouldn’t have anything I have now without donors.”

YACC is planning to welcome thousands to digital and face-to-face programs this year—including two Retreat Yourself Adventures and a Survivor Conference for 150 YACCers—so every young adult facing cancer can find support that fits. Your gift makes these plans real.

Make your impact now – Give today!

Every dollar YOU donate matters—and every gift says, “You’re not alone.”

GIVE NOW

Thank you for ensuring no young adult has to face cancer alone. Every cancer, every stage, YACC’s got your back.

P.S. Can’t give today? Please share this appeal with someone who can. Your share could be the reason the next Jessica finds her people.
