The following is a recap of Localife Vancouver’s Ski & Ride Day which took place on March 3, 2025. This recap was written by the Localife Leader team!
The sun is just peeking over the horizon as a group of YACCers wait for the Epic Rides bus. We’re going to Whistler for Localife Vancouver’s 4th Annual Whistler Ski/Ride Day! Kitted out in our snow gear, we’ll be getting our rentals, lift passes and lessons provided kindly by Whistler Blackcomb / Vail Resorts through their Epic Promise Foundation.
The day is sunny, vibes are high, and we can’t wait to get on to the mountain! Some of us will be skiing, some of us will be snowboarding but all of us will be having the best time. Our instructors, Finn, Myles, James and Mathias are super stoked to be with us and bringing a great energy as we split off into our lesson groups and start exploring the mountains.
We meet again for lunch together at the Roundhouse Lodge high up on Whistler Mountain to gain back some well needed energy. Taking in the views, it’s always a great feeling to get your head above the clouds especially with like minded people. After continuing our day on the mountain, perfecting the advice our instructors have given us, we meet again at the base and take a last look around the village before taking a nap on the return bus ride. What a day! Can’t wait to do it again soon!
