Event Description
We hope everyone is well and enjoying the spooky season. I love seeing all those autumn colours coming into the trees!
We have arranged another opportunity to meet up and connect this month at Central Spark. This is a brand new free outdoor event hosted by the City of Burnaby. There is fun for everyone including a spooky outdoor maze, roving entertainment, carnival games, art activities, a photobooth, food trucks, and a fireworks finale all taking place in Central Park.
Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory!
DETAILS
Who: Young adults diagnosed with cancer before the age of 40, and currently between the ages of 18-39. (Your supporters and families are welcome at this event!)
Date: Friday, October 27
Meeting time:Â 6:30 p.m.
End time: 8:30 p.m. (Firework show for the big finale at 8:15 p.m.)
Meeting place: Entrance to the Patterson and Kingsway parking lot (5790 Patterson Ave. A 15 minute walk from the Metrotown Skytrain Station, or there are multiple parking lots in the surrounding vicinity.)
Accessibility note:Â This event takes place outdoors at Central Park. There should be level pathways that are pathed and/or gravel. As this is a city run event, we are unsure of the specifics surrounding the set up of some of the activities that may be available that night.
What to bring:Â Warm clothes, waterproofs in case of bad weather, money if you would like to purchase snacks/drinks/ try your hand at some carnival games. Admission to the event is free.
