Raining holiday spirit with Localife Toronto

Toronto felt a whole lot like St. John’s for the YACCers who came together to explore the Christmas Market in the city’s historic Distillery District. Despite cold temperatures and damp conditions, Localife Toronto had 21 people brave the frigid weather to embark on an epic scavenger hunt, carolling, and — of course — a delicious cup of hot chocolate from Soma Chocolatemaker. We had a great mix of new and familiar faces at the event, all huddling together for a selfie to score as many points possible in the scavenger hunt (extra points for each YACCer in your pic!).

It was also the first event for new leaders Samantha and Dani.

“It was really fun to reconnect with people I have known for years now as well as meet people taking a risk and checking out YACC for their first time. My favourite part was seeing people work to come together, even with the large market crowds and enticing holiday booths, it turns out the biggest draw was the social connection,” said Dani.

We’re looking forward to planning a more low-key event for December to help that happen!

Your devoted Localife leaders,
Anne Marie, Dani, and Samantha
