25th anniversary Climb raises over $7,700!

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, exactly 25 years after the first RealTime Cancer Climb, we headed up Signal Hill in St. John’s, NL, in support of young adults affected by cancer across Canada.

The Climb is primarily a fundraising event, but it has also become a symbol of resilience and a celebration of the YACC community. The first Climb happened because Geoff set a goal to conquer Signal Hill after cancer treatment—and we’ve created so many amazing memories since then.

Since 2000, we Climbed as part of Survivor Conference, witnessing people push their limits and support one another every step of the way to the top. We cheered as a group of brothers reached the summit in lederhosen, singing songs along the way. We Climbed around the world! We Climbed in tribute to those who helped create those memories in the first place—and we’ve even designated a small spot on the hill for remembrance. Over the years, we’ve Climbed with thousands, and we were honoured to have about 40 people with us again this year.

This year’s Climb raised over $7,700 to help fund support programs and services to help young adults affected by cancer connect with a peer community — the connection they crave the most.

Thank you to everyone who got involved — especially Adam Pike and others who brought along a crew, everyone who donated, who volunteered, and who played a part in this continuing legacy.
