I am a bisexual Canadian woman, stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor, big fan of humour, animal enthusiast, and learning continuously about mindfulness.
Monica (She/Her) is compassionate, humorous and open minded.
She is a young adult cancer thriver. Diagnosed in September 2020 with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, went through six rounds of chemotherapy and is in remission as of March 2021. Going through this journey during the pandemic was an added challenge, which made her even more grateful to be introduced to YACC.
Going forward, she is looking forward to participating in some programs, late night chats, and conferences. Learning and growing in this community has been an unexplainable experience, and this is why she wants to get more involved in more opportunities.
