Survivor Conference 2012

We can’t wait to see you all at the 6^th Annual Survivor Conference in Toronto, ON from November 1-5, 2012!

We will spend four days in at the Radisson Admiral Hotel where we will have great views of the harbourfront and access to the best attractions the city has to offer. Of course, the best part of the hotel will be the fellow survivors and supporters you’ll meet, presenters you’ll see, and life-changing moments you’ll have.

The Survivor Conference is free for you except for your travel costs. You just need to make it to the venue and we will provide your food, accommodations, and program necessities. Of course, we will have a travel assistance program for those who qualify.

We'll be there from Thursday to Monday and applicants are required to stay for the duration of the program. 

Highlights of the Conference

Thursday

• Check in
• An "Introduction to YACC" for anyone who is new to the YACC community
• Dinner as a group
• Opening ceremonies

Friday

• Concurrent workshops and sessions covering issues related to the young adult cancer experience*
• An opportunity to visit the CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame during free time
• Keynote speaker Dr. Anne Katz
• Game night

Saturday

• Concurrent workshops and sessions covering issues related to the young adult cancer experience*
• A community-building event in High Park which will include the in memoriam ritual
• Marketplace activities**

Sunday

• Concurrent workshops and sessions covering issues related to the young adult cancer experience*
• Closing circle
• Banquet!

*We are finalizing the schedule of workshops and presentations and will post more information once it is organized.
**This doesn't involve shopping, but you'll still walk away with valuable things!
