This year's Survivor Conference is taking us to Ottawa, Ontario from November 3-7, 2011.

We are still determining who our facilitators will be for this event but we'll update you here as soon as we know.

What is the Survivor Conference?

The Survivor Conference is the biggest reunion of young adult cancer survivors and supporters in Canada. It brings together a group of people who get it to connect and learn things that can help move forward or beyond the cancer experience.

SC2011 is built to empower survivors and supporters to live better, healthier lives and learn how to encourage fellow survivors do the same. Through the Conference, we want to give you information that you can use to regain some of the control you may have lost-or felt like you lost-while dealing with cancer and help you move forward and to feel supported while doing it.

SC2011 is offered at no cost to you, but you are responsible for your travel to Ottawa. We offer travel assistance for anyone who may need some financial help getting to the event.

This year we bring SC2011 to the centre of our big ol' country-Ottawa! We will spend four days at the Cartier Place Suite Hotel.

Please note: Applicants and their supporters will be roomed together. If you are not applying with a supporter, you will be paired with another survivor who has a lot in common with you. Let us know if you have a friend attending SC2011 that you would like to be paired with and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

In case you were wondering, even those residing in Ottawa will stay at the hotel. We understand it might be easy to go home at night, but this contradicts the program we offer. The conference is as much a time to meet other survivors as it is a time to get relevant information.

The Conference will include:

• Workshops on relevant topics built for you;
• Free time to get to know each other;
• Great speakers to stimulate our mind and our body;
• Time to share inspiring stories; and,
• Many other surprises
