Young Adult Cancer Research Study – Atlantic Canada

A research team at the Dalhousie University Family Medicine Teaching Unit (Fredericton location) is looking for participants to be involved in a study that will examine cancer follow-up care needs. If you were diagnosed with cancer in the last 1-5 years, were between the ages of 18-34 when you were diagnosed, and received your cancer follow-up care in the Atlantic Provinces, you may be eligible to participate. The study involves a one-time telephone interview and the option to complete a paper survey.

The purpose of the interview will be to gain information regarding your experiences with cancer follow-up care since you finished cancer treatment. This study will also look at factors that may impact your psychological and social well-being and how cancer has impacted these areas of your life. Results from this study will be used to create recommendations for the development of a cancer follow-up care model that will better address the needs of young adults.
