The following message was sent to us from First Descents:

First Descents offers young adult cancer fighters and survivors a free outdoor adventure experience designed to enable them to climb, paddle, and surf beyond their diagnosis, defy their cancer, reclaim their lives, and connect with others doing the same.

What will we be doing?
We will pick you up at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (Maplesoft Centre) on Friday, August 17, after work. On Saturday, you will spend your time zip linking, exploring via ferrets on the Chutes Coulogne, and trying out some stand-up paddle boarding. Sunday, you will take on rafting on the stunning Ottawa River! Your evenings will be spent with delicious dinners, private campfires, and a photo slideshow of the day's adventure. We will have you home for dinner on Sunday!
